The Team

We have a shared vision of sustainability, biodiversity, place and time, with attention to detail in everything we do. Wine is about a journey and we are striving to create wines that reflect the terroir, the season and the efforts of each year. The beauty about the wines we produce is that we have total control of how we manage the fruit from the vineyard to the bottle. It’s not a luxury that many wine brands can claim. Estate grown fruit meticulously tendered with an eye to create the best wines from each season.

Meet the Team

Graeme Thredgold

Producer

Graeme has an extensive background in the liquor industry starting with brewing in 1992 before entering the wine industry in 1998. He appreciates the key to any successful business is to have a team that shares the same vision and works harmoniously in its pursuit. The Stage Door team not only works well together but are great mates.

Dan Falkenberg

Viticulturist

Dan is highly qualified and experienced in all facets of vineyard management. He is heavily involved in the Barossa viticultural community and is a leader in native grass vineyard management and biodiversity. He has tendered the family property since 2011 and in that time has transformed the vineyard into one which is totally focused on sustainable and regenerative farming practices. His goal is to create an environment where the vineyard is working in harmony with the planet and to leave it in a better place for the next generation to come.

Phil Lehmann

Winemaker

Phil’s winemaking knowledge is extensive. Time spent in the Napa Valley, South Africa and Burgundy set up his journey before returning to winemaking in Australia. He is very experienced in both white and red winemaking and his aim is to allow the vineyard and fruit to tell the story. Minimal intervention being the goal. Phil works very closely with Dan Falkenberg to tailor vineyard management to fit with wine styles. His philosophy being that great wines are made in the vineyard and not the winery.
