The Premium 2016 Shiraz is deep crimson-purple, with a lifted, perfumed nose over spice and black pepper. Mouth-watering black fruit is beautifully balanced across the palate followed by velvety tannins. A full bodied wine of great complexity and length – enjoy now or cellar with confidence.

Tasting Notes
Firstly we picked the fruit at optimum ripening. It spent seven days on skins in the open fermenter and was lovingly treated in 100 per cent French barrels. The aim was to produce an elegant and complex example of cool climate shiraz. It sings and will age beautifully. Matured for almost 2 years in French hogsheads (40% new).
It flows evenly and without hurry along toasty oak without a breath of alcohol heat, the cedary aromas and flavours of the French oak slotting into the finish and aftertaste. This wine has had balance from the word go, its long-term future gold-plated.
