The SDWCo 2023 Grüner Veltliner is pale golden yellow with a green hue and shows floral notes over camphor and cinnamon on the nose. The wine was vinified partly in second-hand French oak promoting a full-bodied white wine of gooseberry and ripe grapefruit on the palate followed by subtle tannins that provide great structure and balance. Drink now or cellar with confidence.

2023 Vintage Notes
We entered the 2023 growing season with above average soil moisture and got o to a good start. is was followed by a cool, wet spring that fortunately had a positive e ect on vine growth resulting in the development of long loose bunches with good air ow that minimised disease pressure. Thankfully, a mild summer provided a long, cool ripening period, and despite our concerns, a relatively late vintage progressed at a relaxed pace, with reasonably good yields, and importantly, excellent quality.
